4 Christ-Centered Activities for the Classroom

You don’t have to tell a teacher that the week before Christmas Break is hectic. Programs, parties, projects, grading… and let’s not forget the students who are bouncing off the wall in their excitement for the season.

1) Christmas Scripture Coloring and Activity Packet

This coloring and activity book is a great no-prep packet to give students to work on when they finish other projects, for morning work during the last week before Christmas Break, or even as a take-home packet. The activities all center around holy scripture, and serve as a special project to complete at the end of December. Personal note – these packets are great for kids to work on when their group waiting for their turn during Christmas program rehearsals!

2) Names of Jesus Collaborative Poster

Prepare to celebrate Jesus’ birthday this Advent by helping your students create a Christmas collaborative poster. Students will practice following directions, participate in mindful coloring, practice fine motor skills, and work together as a team to put the pieces together to create a class poster that highlights different names for Jesus found in the Bible. Ask students if they can think of other names for Christ!

3) Christmas I Have/Who Has? Trivia Game

Review and learn new facts about Advent and the Christmas season with this Catholic “I Have, Who Has?” Scripture Game. Clues are a fun, interactive way to review Christmas scripture, Advent, Feast Days and Mysteries of the Rosary related to Christmas. Printable cards are easy to use as a whole class or individual/partner game.

4) Christmas Bingo

Kids love bingo games! This one focuses on images from the Nativity and is a great activity for the last week of school before break, an incentive for finishing work, or as a game for your class party.
