Hello! My name is Emmy and I am the owner of Loubird Creations. I’m so glad you’re here!

A few fun facts about me:

*I was born and raised in North Central Texas, out in “the country”… yes, cows and all!

*I am a proud alum of the University of Dallas and earned my M.Ed. from Christian Brothers University in Memphis, where I began my teaching career.

*Despite being raised a farm girl, I always dreamed of living in a neighborhood with friends nearby, closer than 20 minutes away from the local grocery store! Today, I’m living the suburban dream with my husband and three kids.

*I was a 2nd grade teacher for seven years before becoming a stay-at-home mom while my kids were young.

*I have also spent many years as a Church catechist, teaching every grade from Prek-4th.

*My favorite things include all things sweet (especially chocolate!), reading lots of “chick lit”, old movies, binge watching cake decorating compilations and Rick Steves Europe with my kids on Youtube!
